What's MINI’s precision?
+
The MINI has a single frame precision of up to 0.02mm
What is the MINI’s scan frame rate?
+
Up to ten frames per second.
What is the technology powering MINI?
+
MINI uses class 1 blue structured light and advanced algorithms to output detailed 3D models of small objects.
What system requirements are recommended for the MINI?
+
A computer with an i5 and 8GB of ram is fine for the MINI. However, to reduce the processing time, an i7 and 16GB of ram or better will help.
What are the requirements for the configuration of the computer or mobile phone used for POP 2 scanning?
+
What is the difference between USB2.0 and 3.0?
+
The current/voltage required for POP 2 operation is 5V 1A, and the power output from USB 2.0 cannot meet the requirements of POP 2 operation. Therefore, when using computer scanning, it is necessary to ensure that the interface is USB 3.0. Therefore, in order to ensure the use of Android users, we have launched a 2-in-1 data cable.
What kind of computer is recommended for POP 2 to work smoothly?
+
Recommended computer: Windows10, 64bit,16G and above, I7.

Does MINI have 3D scanning software?
+
Yes, the MINI comes with Revo Scan for free. It is compatible with iOS, macOS, Android, and Windows devices. In addition, Revopoint offers Revo Studio for post-processing.
Is the software free?
+
Scanning software is free. It can be downloaded from Revo's website.
Can we directly print 3D scanned models?
+
Yes, an STL file can be directly imported to 3D printing slicer software.
Can the 3D scanned model be modified with the design software?
+
Yes, the model scanned by MINI could be exported in OBJ format, compatible with most design software, such as Autodesk CAD, Maya, Blender, Rhino, Zbrush, fusion 360, etc.
Is third-party software available for scanning with MINI?
+
No, MINI is only compatible with Revo Scan software, which you can download from our website or your device's app store. However, the models generated by the scan are compatible with nearly all third-party 3D model post-processing software.
What model formats can Revo Scan export?
+
Revo Scan can export your models in PLY, OBJ, and STL.
How do I export scanned models on my phone?
+
Use the Share button.
Can MINI work with Revo Scan without internet access?
+
Yes, Revo Scan does not need to be connected to the internet to work.
Are there any accessories that help you when scanning?
+
Yes, the dual-axis turntable, S1 handheld stabilizer, 2-in-1 USB cable, mobile phone holder, marker points, etc., can all aid your scanning.
What does the Dual-axis turntable do?
+
The dual-axis turntable A230 has a 360° 2RPM rotation clockwise or counterclockwise and ±30° tilt. It's designed to make accurate cloud point acquisition even more accessible by removing the need to adjust the object's position when scanning.
What does the S1 Handheld Stabilizer do?
+
The S1 Handheld Stabilizer is equipped with a built-in high-precision gyroscope and stabilization device, and it can effectively eliminate the problem of poor point cloud precision and track loss. This allows for smooth scanning without stalling.
What are marker points used for?
+
Marker points are stuck to objects without geometric features so the MINI can track what it is scanning. When using Marker points, place them in irregular patterns with around 3-5cms between the markers across the object you’re scanning, and make sure that there are at least 5 marker points always in frame when scanning.
Charge the LED lamp or replace the battery?
+
Rechargeable batteries.

POP的精度是多少?
+
输出模型精度能达0.3mm。
What kind of computer is recommended for POP 2 to work smoothly?
+
Recommended computer: Windows10, 64bit,16G and above, I7.
Do more frames scanned mean better 3D scan accuracy?
+
No, repeated scanning is not good for accuracy. One scan at a close distance to the object will result in the best accuracy.
Are there any objects that MINI cannot scan?
+
For transparent and highly reflective objects, you need to use scanning spray.
Multiple scans and post-processing are needed for objects larger than 500 x 500 x 500mm.

Can I use MINI to scan something outdoors?
+
Sorry. With blue light technology, outdoor scanning is not recommended. However, the MINI works when the sun goes down.
What is the minimum size of an object that MINI can scan?
+
The minimum scanning dimension we recommended for MINI is 10 x 10 x 10mm.
Can MINI scan objects smaller than 10 x 10 x 10mm?
+
Yes, but advanced scanning skills and post-process are needed.
