So what Revopoint MINI features got the backers to open their wallets on Kickstarter?
The MINI is the first Revopoint 3D scanner to use binocular blue light technology, which allows it to project ultra-high resolution structured light. And when combined with the high-res dual camera system, it empowers you to capture precise and detailed (point distance of up to 0.05mm and a single-frame precision of up to 0.02mm) 3D scans quickly and easily. This is great for scanning small items like jewelry, coins, miniature models, industrial parts, and other small objects where creating a high-precision 3D model is a must.
As its name suggests, the MINI is compact and lightweight at only 160g, making it easy to move around your object and convenient to carry. Also, its scanning speed of up to 10 fps and its excellent algorithm help to reduce alignment errors in successive scanning. The integration of a dedicated chip in the MINI enables direct 3D data output, creating a smooth and stable scanning experience while reducing computer GPU requirements.
What’s different between the POP 2 and MINI Scanner?
• The POP 2 is designed to meet the requirements of makers, DIY lovers, and designers. In comparison, the MINI is more for professional applications like reverse engineering, quality control, precise 3D measurements, jewelry design, healthcare applications, and more.
• Recommend Scan Volume: MINI: 10 x10 x10 (mm) ~ 500 x 500 x 500 (mm). POP 2: 20 x 20 x 20 (mm) ~ 3 x 3 x 3 (m).
• Please note that the MINI uses a blue light source, and to ensure precision, it requires an indoor scanning environment. If you’re more interested in face/body modeling solutions, then we recommend the POP 2.
What accessories enhance the scanning power of the MINI?
Both the Standard and the Dual Axis combo packages come with the S1 Handheld Stabilizer (with a detachable tripod) has a built-in gyroscope to keep the MINI stable for an easier, smoother scanning experience.
