The Revopoint MINI 3D scanner is already a powerful scanning companion for reverse engineering, fossils, and historical items 3D modeling, jewelry design, medical applications, 3D animation production and modeling, and quality inspection, but it can be even better with some of these helpful accessories that make getting a perfect scan easier.
Handheld Stabilizer
Like in the board game Operation, when scanning with Revopoint MINI 3D scanner in handheld mode, you need steady hands, or things can quickly go wrong. If you shake too much during the scan, splicing and tracking errors are likely to occur, but these can both be avoided with the Handheld Stabilizer as it will keep your MINI rock solidly stable. Through its gyroscope, sensors, and responsive axes motors, the Handheld Stabilizer keeps the MINI level and stable as you move around, so you can get on with scanning and stop worrying about moving as smoothly as a ninja.
Dual-axis TurnTable
Sometimes getting a whole scan of an object with a regular turntable or by handheld scanning can be tricky. You might need to fiddle around with the scanners or the object’s position to ensure that you’ve captured the top of the object, and this can result in ambient occlusion, tracking loss, and more time spent scanning. The Dual-axis Turntable solves all these problems by being able to tilt its angle by ±30°, meaning you don’t need to move the scanner or the object to get a complete scan.
3D Scanning Markers
Next on the list, we have scanning Markers, not the most exciting looking accessory going, but absolutely essential if you want to be able to scan objects that don’t have any distinct surface features, like a car door, ball, or cup. These sticky little guys provide your scanner with tracking points to keep track as you scan that featureless object. You use them by placing them irregularly on or around the object you want to scan and need to ensure that at least five markers will be in the scanner’s frame at all times as you scan the object.
Mini LED Light
Ensuring the lighting is even when doing a scan is important for two reasons. Firstly, deep shadows on your object are likely to confuse the scanner. Secondly, when color scanning, the colors need to be clear as possible so the scanner can accurately capture them. This is where the Mini LED Light comes in with its 49 soft light LEDs evenly illuminating the object to ensure optimal lighting for the scan. It can also connect to a tripod and mount the scanner to its top for easier handheld scanning.
Mobile Kit
Make your handheld scanning experience even more convenient with the Mobile Kit, which has a new grip with a built-in 4,000 mAh battery that can power your Revopoint scanner for up to 3 hours. When combined with the Phone Holder, it creates a truly mobile scanning experience allowing you to go wherever you need to get your scan done.
